Shanghai Kaiquan Pump supplied 18 units of its signature KZA Series Petrochemical Process Pumps for Tianjin Bohai Petrochemical’s C3 industry chain extension project. Located in the Lingang area of Tianjin Binhai New Area, this key regional initiative establishes an integrated production line stretching from propylene to acrylic acid, acrylic esters, and superabsorbent polymer (SAP).

Overcoming Harsh Coastal & Corrosive Engineering Challenges

The project demanded strict compliance with API 610 standards, requiring a minimum continuous operational cycle of 3 years and a total service lifespan of over 20 years. Operating in a coastal environment with high humidity and salt spray, while transferring highly corrosive media like acrylic acid and acrylic esters, imposed severe demands on metallurgy, mechanical seals, and cavitation resistance.
