Commissioned in 2024, the pumping station was specially engineered to address large-scale rainwater collection and drainage at Jining Longgong Port. The 10 m-diameter, 9.05 m-deep FRP chamber accommodates 4 × 450 kW high-voltage submersible axial-flow pumps, delivering a maximum drainage capacity of 10 m³/s (36,000 m³/h).

To meet the port’s specific drainage conditions, Kaiquan applied CFD hydraulic analysis and CAE structural calculations to optimize the pump layout and chamber design, addressing uneven flow distribution and vortices. The customized system is designed with sufficient drainage capacity to handle extreme rainfall corresponding to the local 50-year return period, providing reliable protection for safe port operations.

Designed specifically for the port’s large rainwater catchment and drainage requirements, the station combines high-capacity pumping with CFD-optimized hydraulics to handle exceptional heavy-rainfall conditions.
Compared with conventional concrete pumping stations, the integrated design occupies less land, improves land-use efficiency, reduces overall project investment, and helps lower construction costs.
The prefabricated integrated structure simplifies on-site civil works and shortens the construction period, enabling faster project delivery while maintaining structural and operational reliability.
As China’s largest-diameter integrated pumping station, the project demonstrates Kaiquan’s ability to provide more than pumping equipment. By integrating CFD analysis, CAE structural engineering,high-capacity pumps, and project-specific system design, Kaiquan delivered a complete drainage solution tailored to the port’s demanding rainfall conditions.
