The event was chaired by Zhu Jiong, Party Branch Secretary and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Drainage Industry Association. Wang Dongjin, representing Kaiquan, delivered a welcome speech and expressed sincere appreciation to both associations for their longstanding support and care for the company.

In his speech, President Liu Xiaotao noted that the water engineering and drainage sectors are closely interconnected in terms of their business scope, operational needs, and development, and that both share important responsibilities in safeguarding urban water security, improving aquatic ecological environments, and serving public needs.

He expressed three expectations for Kaiquan's future development:

1. Innovation-driven development — Focus on smart water management, green development, and energy efficiency, while accelerating breakthroughs in core technologies such as high-efficiency energy-saving pumps and intelligent integrated pumping stations.

2. Collaborative development — Actively participate in the development of industry standards and promote complementary strengths across the upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain.

3. Quality-oriented development — Maintain strict quality standards, develop high-quality equipment, and provide strong support for water engineering development in Shanghai.

Technology-Driven Solutions Demonstrate Kaiquan's Technical Capabilities

During the technical exchange session, Wang Junhua, General Manager of Kaiquan's Municipal Engineering Division, provided a detailed introduction to the company's system solutions for urban drainage, water conservancy, and flood control. The presentation highlighted Kaiquan's integrated pump-gate technology, high-precision testing facilities, and representative applications in major national water conservancy projects, including the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project.

The integrated pump-gate system is one of Kaiquan's core products developed through years of continuous R&D. By integrating submersible pumps and sluice gates, the system can significantly reduce civil construction investment and shorten construction periods compared with conventional pumping stations. Its compact structure and small footprint make it particularly suitable for applications such as urban river management, flood control and drainage in industrial parks, and water system connectivity projects.

The technology has now been successfully applied in key water conservancy projects in several cities, including Songjiang in Shanghai, Tangshan in Hebei, and Haikou in Hainan, demonstrating its stability and reliability under complex operating conditions.

The “Joint Members’ Day” event represented an important initiative by the two associations to deepen strategic cooperation and better serve their member organizations. Through face-to-face visits, technical exchanges, and discussions, the participants further strengthened their understanding and consensus across multiple areas, including technical standards, market demand, and policy priorities, laying a solid foundation for regular and in-depth collaboration in the future.

Going forward, Kaiquan will continue to work closely with industry associations and partners across the industrial chain to advance the independent R&D and industrial application of key technologies in the water engineering and drainage sectors. With advanced smart water management solutions, high-quality products, and professional services, Kaiquan will contribute to strengthening urban water security and supporting the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the industry.
