At the Hainan Institute of Zhejiang University, a 27-meter-diameter circular wave basin is powered by 18 KAIQUAN Full-Flow Submersible Pumps, delivering precise flow control for this pioneering marine research project.
What Makes This Project Special?
Unlike conventional wave tanks, this facility generates focused and rotating waves to simulate extreme ocean conditions, providing an advanced testing platform for deep-sea exploration and offshore engineering equipment.
Why Does It Matter?
Offshore energy and marine food resources are increasingly important for Southeast Asia and beyond.
By recreating complex ocean environments, this facility helps:
🔹 Verify the reliability of offshore equipment under extreme conditions
🔹 Shorten R&D cycles and reduce testing costs
🔹 Support safer and more efficient marine resource exploration
KAIQUAN's Engineering Solutions:
✅ Precise hydraulic control for complex wave simulations
✅ Compact design with 40% weight reduction
✅ Advanced wet-stator technology for reliable operation
✅ Corrosion protection and coordinated multi-pump control
All 18 pumps have been successfully installed and commissioned, supporting this nationally pioneering marine research facility without major structural modifications.
