In 2024, Shanghai Kaiquan supplied 53 sewage pumps for the BCC Cheboksary Wastewater Pumping Station project in Russia. The project required reliable handling of wastewater under varying flow and head conditions, with particular emphasis on operational stability, clogging resistance, and high-power performance.
Kaiquan provided a diversified pump configuration based on the station’s operating requirements. All 53 units feature semi-open impellers, with selected models incorporating cutting functions for improved solids handling. Among them, 50 pumps adopt dry-installed self-cooling circulation structures, with individual motor power reaching up to 355 kW. Three additional high-capacity units are equipped with 900 kW, 6 kV motors and dry-installed coupling configurations.

Key Technical & Operational Features
Enhanced Solids-Handling Capability: Semi-open impellers and optional cutting functions help reduce clogging risks and improve performance in demanding wastewater environments.
High-Power Pumping Performance: The supplied units cover a broad range of hydraulic duties, including large-capacity pumps with flow rates of up to 2,400 m³/h and high-power 900 kW, 6 kV motor configurations.
Flexible Dry-Installation Solutions: Self-cooling circulation and coupling-based dry installation configurations provide adaptable solutions for different pumping station layouts and operating requirements.

Impact & Industry Recognition
The Cheboksary project demonstrates Kaiquan’s capability to deliver large-scale, customized wastewater pumping systems for overseas municipal infrastructure. With 53 pumps covering multiple flow, head, and power requirements, the project highlights Kaiquan’s engineering flexibility and experience in supporting complex wastewater pumping applications in international markets.
