KAIQUAN three kinds of nuclear grade pumps successfully developed

On Dec. 25, KAIQUAN passed the product appraisal for “the heat export pump for nuclear secondary containment, the cooling water pump for nuclear tertiary equipment and the important plant water pump for nuclear tertiary” of the third generation pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant.

The prototype appraisal meeting was organized by China General Machinery Industry Association and China Machinery Industry Federation in Shanghai, with about 40 well-known experts and representatives from China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute, China National Nuclear Engineering Corporation, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Centaline Foreign Engineering Corporation, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute, CGN, Jiangsu Nuclear Power and other units participating in the meeting, and Yu Junchong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering The Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dr. Yu Jun Chong, was the chairman of the appraisal committee.
The experts listened to the development summary report made by KAIQUAN, reviewed the relevant technical data on design, manufacturing, testing, inspection and quality assurance, and conducted serious and comprehensive technical inquiries and discussions at the meeting. The experts of the appraisal committee raised professional questions and exchanges from the aspects of development products, system requirements, overall structure, technical innovation, key technologies, test verification, analysis and calculation, material standards, etc. The R&D technical teams of the three nuclear pumps made detailed reports and answered questions on the relevant contents. The appraisal committee considered that the product prototypes of “containment heat export pump, equipment cooling water pump and important plant water pump” developed by KAIQUAN are successful and have independent intellectual property rights, and the technical parameters and performance indexes of the products meet the requirements of the development mission statement, test outline and relevant standards, and reach the advanced level of similar products in the world, and can be It can be promoted and applied in the third generation pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant. The appraisal committee agreed to pass the product prototype appraisal.

The prototype appraisal meeting of the “heat export pump for containment, equipment cooling water pump and important plant water pump of the third-generation pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant” was a success, which made KAIQUAN’s contribution to actively promote the “Belt and Road” international cooperation and the realization of China’s nuclear power “going out” strategy.
